What is tattoo removal?

Tattoo removal is a non-surgical non-invasive procedure that is used to remove unwanted tattoos through the use of laser. Our practice offers the most technologically advanced laser treatment for tattoo removal commonly known as Q-switch or YAG laser. It works by dissolving ink pigments beneath the skin with highly concentrated light beams.

Tattoo removal can be performed on any part of the body with the exception of the sensitive skin around the eyes.

What can I expect the day I receive tattoo removal treatment?

Before treatment begins, you’ll be given a pair of protective eye shields. Then our doctor will test your skin’s reaction to the laser to determine the most effective energy intensity for your skin type. When treatment begins, our doctor will use the laser to pass pulses of intense light through the top layers of your skin.

Laser tattoo removal can be uncomfortable, and tend to require a higher pain threshold. Our doctor will apply local anesthetic prior to the treatment to make the pain tolerable.
